Salutation of the Mayor

All festivities have the characteristic and have in common
the realization of a work during the course of a whole year,
which then finalizes with various manifestations, for the 
pleasure of its authors and the village.
Also all do evoluate in the course of time.
Speaking of evolution and "fallas" we have to say something 
more because changes have been very great. They have passed
from being a woodfire made by the carpenters ,to burn up the 
residues of their works, at the start of their history
 to being the big structures of wood, cardboard and fabric
to which monumental forms are given by authentic professionals
actually.
	With a humoristic tone and the corresponding criticisms
alluding inhabitants of the village and themes of actuality,
the artist tries to build with a maximum of realism, always wrapped 
up in caricature, capturing the expectation of the mayority of our 
inhabitants.
	All the work done, finalizes as we all know with fire.
This is very hard but the people who work in it know this and though 
they suffer this is the tradition of this festivity decided by the 
people of the "fallas" and  it has to be respected this way.
	The same respect which I want to manifest as Mayor of the
new Village Council ,together with the wish that this festivity
might arrive at the utmost corners of our village of Castelló.
